Cork & Bottle, the boutique wine shop located in Mid-City's American Can Company (3700 Orleans Avenue), announces "WineSense," a series of wine tastings set in either a formal, seated setting or a casual, reception-style format. Seated classes are 6:30-8pm; Reception-style tasting events are 6-8pm. Advanced reservations are required by calling, 504.483.6314.

"A Tour of Italy" with guest host, Italian wine specialist Antonio Molesini, is a 5-week course that will feature major wine producing regions throughout Italy. Cost for each class is $25 per person, or sign up for all 5 classes and get one free.

February 1—Ceretto Wines from the Piedmont Hills

February 15—Antinori's Other Brands

March 21— Wines from Veneto

April 4— Wines from Sicily

May 2— Wines from Puliga

After the 5-week course concludes, a wine dinner will be held at a local Italian restaurant (TBD), which will feature the best red and white from each class, paired with a fabulous dinner. Cost and date TBD.
