Earth Fest at Audubon Zoo on Saturday, March 17th, and Sunday March 18th, 2012 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Earth Fest happens Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Audubon Zoo, 6500 Magazine Street in New Orleans. Earth Fest is a New Orleans family tradition and a fun way for Zoo visitors to learn about saving the environment.

Exhibitors representing groups from the non-profit and governmental sectors as well as businesses involved with environmental issues will help Zoo visitors answer questions for prizes on the Earth Quest game.

Great food and crafts available for purchase! And, Home Depot will be onsite with their popular Kids Crafts Tent.

RECYCLE UNWANTED MARDI GRAS BEADS AND GET A DISCOUNT ON ZOO ADMISSION!  The ARC of Greater New Orleans will accept beads for recycling outside the Zoo on both days of Earth Fest.  Bring in at least a dozen beads and get a coupon for $3 off adult or $2 off child admission.  Coupon is good for up to 4 admissions and is valid for either March 17 or March 18, 2012.
On Saturday, March 17--Marvel Super Heroes--Avenger's Show--in anticipation of this year's blockbuster movie release, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man join forces in a stage show for two performances.

Also on Saturday, March 17—Bands from 20 East Bank Jefferson Parish schools perform from 10am to Noon on the Capital One Pavilion.
On Sunday, March 18--The winners of  Ronald McDonald House Charities Crescent City Talent Showcase perform from 10 am to Noon on the main stage.  This group was selected by a professionally judged competition open to anyone from 3 years of age to high school senior. Talent categories include vocal, dance and general variety. Top winners of the competition are invited to perform at other area events like Celebration In The Oaks, Earth Fest, and others.
Activities are included with admission to the Zoo. Audubon Zoo members get in free!
 

PLEASE NOTE: OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED DURING EARTH FEST WEEKEND.
Regular admission for Audubon Zoo is $16 adults, $11 children 2-12, $13 seniors
