Bourbon Live is one of the newest (and, let’s be honest, brand-spanking-cleanest) live music clubs on Bourbon Street. Opened in the Summer of 2011, the club features a lineup of local cover bands seven nights a week that play everything from Motown, R&B and Jazz to rock and country, and the venue has a 20,000-watt state-of-the-art sound system up to the task of cranking out the best sounds. (Check the venue’s website for details about the weekly roster of bands.) In between sets and after the live music wraps for the night, a DJ hits the decks with Dance and Top 40 hits. Expect funkified covers of “Brick House” and classic rock standards, and a 3-for-1 happy hour special Friday through Sunday guaranteed to get you on your feet.
