Description
The Blue Nile is a modern club housed in a historical building. It is located in the first building that was built on Frenchmen Street in 1832. It was also the first music venue in the area when it opened in the 1970s as the Dream Palace. The Blue Nile as it is today is a unique club in a unique area. It features two rooms for live music and often showcases international music, especially reggae.
New Orleans’ own Offbeat Magazine named the Blue Nile “Best Club” in 2009 and it stands up to that claim. The interior is decorated in a festive blue and gold pattern and it has a warm vibe, perfect for live music and music lovers. The upstairs features another music space and the only public balcony on Frenchmen Street. Blue Nile is one of a kind and it’s a must-see for music fans.
