As one of the most popular nightclubs in New Orleans, Club Ampersand is an upscale and sophisticated venue. Many touring electronic musicians play at Ampersand and when the club is too small for an act, they sponsor the show at the Contemporary Arts Center close by.

The space is a former Whitney Bank building in the Central Business District. There are two levels, two bars, a VIP lounge, a dancefloor, a courtyard and many seating rooms. It’s only open on weekends, but that’s just enough time to enjoy the exclusive atmosphere. Celebrity guests such as Nicholas Cage, Sandra Bullock, Shaquille O'Neal and members of the New Orleans Saints often frequent Ampersand. It has a Miami or LA feel, but it still encompasses the New Orleans laid back lifestyle.
