Description

The Bourbon Pub and Parade (colloquially known as “the Pub”) is the largest and one of the most well-known gay bars in the city. It is the epicenter of the annual gay festival, Southern Decadence. There are also major events at the Pub for Halloween, New Year's Eve and Mardi Gras.

It’s a great place to dance and have fun, even if you’re not of the preferred sexual orientation. If you’re comfortable with your sexuality (which you should be if you’re visiting New Orleans), don’t be afraid to explore the part of the French Quarter known as “Gay Bourbon” where the Pub is located. The cover charge usually ranges anywhere from $5-20, depending on the night, so expect to spend some cash just to get in.
