The after party for the Big Hair show was immediately following the show, out in downtown Lafayette. Employees, owners, and models of the show spent the cooling off time at locations such as City Bar, Marley’s and Trends. No one was going home early as most of the crowd ended up at Trends for some of Lafayette’s best techno and house DJs. Friday night, The Independent Weekly put on its Annual Big Hair Do Show at the Acadian Arts Center in downtown Lafayette. The show is about the best hair salons in Lafayette and the surrounding area. This night six locations were involved. The following are in order of stage entrance, Salon Nivag, Color Bar, Sauve House, Salon Indigo, Cabelo and Jagged Edge. All locations put on their best show by showing the audience what they can do with hair and makeup. All proceeds benefit the PASA, the Performing Arts Society of Acadian.
